A critical edition of the Vulgate text, established from the evidence of the most significant manuscripts with the help of the two big modern editions – for the Old Testament , the edition of the Bendictines of St. Jerome’s monastery in Rome, and, for the New Testament, the Oxford edition of Wordsworth and White. Includes a critical apparatus. For this 5th edition the apparatus of the books of Ruth, Isaiah and Revelation has been revised, following the publication of these books in Vetus Latina edition of Beuron.
With a Preface in Latin, German, French and English and a key to the sigla and abbreviations used in the apparatus.
